Women At Norths Programme

Introduction

The Women @ Norths programme is a jointly funded initiative between Norths and the Federal Government to develop women of various ages into competent accredited referees up to BA Referee Level 1 qualification and junior referees to an appropriate level to referee Junior Representative Competition matches. 

The programme is designed to provide a condensed learning period to enable participants to reach their maximum potential in the programme period.

Course Activities

•   Theory, rules and mechanics
•   Practical, rules and mechanics
•   Conflict Management/Resolution
•   Elite presentations (refereeing)
•   Special Events, e.g. WNBL games
•   Refereeing various levels of competitive basketball
•   Receive mentoring and coaching
•   Input and feedback from both players & coaches
•   Completion of development journals
•   Instruction in Child Protection guidelines

Course starts 10th December 2008.
Course ceases 30th May 2009.

Cost is $100 per participant.
50% is refunded on successful completion.
