The fine print...

“The Health Insurance Act specifically prohibits insurers from paying for any items that are related to Medicare items, and specifically fine insurers for each breach of the Act.

If the claimable items are related to Medicare, Insurers cannot reimburse these costs to you.

It is important to note that this is outside the control of Northern Suburbs Basketball and the Insurers.

It is therefore recommended that in addition to these policies arranged by Northern Suburbs Basketball, all members are encouraged to take out Private Health and income protection Insurance or additional insurance over and above the benefits provided by the policy.”
