Major Roles of the Gender Head Coach
- Liaise with Norths Representative Manager and Development Officers on trials and selections
- Oversee implementation of training skills and drills
- Sounding board and mentor for coaches
- Able to assist with team or player or coach issues
- Provide feedback to Representative Head Coach
- Implement Representative Head Coach ideas
- develop and provide to the NSBA season objectives for each team in the relevant age group using the JRP Skills Matrix as a guide to development.
- develop and provide to the NSBA a pre Christmas training plan for School Term 4 for the relevant age group using the JRP Skills Matrix as a guide to development.
- Assist the NSBA Development Officer to identify suitable coaching resources for the relevant age group.
- Provide the NSBA with a post season review of the development of all players in the age group.
- Develop links between all grades from U12 through to U18 and seniors including clear pathways
- Set the strategic direction for development of elite players in consultation with NSBA development staff and volunteer coaches.
- Attending practices & games and assisting in the development of players and coaches as required.
- Assisting with player development in consultation with by the Representative Manager
- Attendance at BNSW Semi Final, Final, Grand Final, State Championships and when practical and as agreed with the Represntative manager, national competitions as well as other tournaments to assist in coaching, coach education, evaluation and player evaluation.
